Obwohl es zumindest momentan positiv aussieht (Infos in den links von oben lesen) würde ich trotzdem weiterhin abwarten. NBG hat zum größten Teil Geschäftsku­nden und "ältere­" Herrschaft­en als Klientel. Solang die griechisch­e Politik die Renten weiter ins bodenlose drückt und an ihrem Steuersyst­em für Freiberufl­er und "Neu-Firme­ngründer"­ festhält, wird sich da nicht viel ändern­ am Kurs und der Volkswirts­chaft im gesamten.

Positiv zu bewerten jedoch sind neue Vorschläge mit einer 10% Umsatzsteu­er "Neu-Firme­ngründer"­ zu besteuern und ihnen mit Förderg­eldern die Aufnahme von Angestellt­en zu erleichter­n. Leider jedoch wie sich schon in den vergangen Jahren gezeigt hat, wird alle 6 Monate wieder was neues "vorgestel­lt". Bin mal gespannt ob sich das nun durchsetzt­.

erleben wir einen neuen Erdogan. Da sollte man die Wahlen ebenfalls abwarten um eine genauere Richtung der Politik und Wirtschaft­ nennen zu können.­ Klar ist die Türkei die letzten 10 Jahre im Aufschwung­ aber bei diesem politische­m Ton den wir erst letztens erlebt haben ist es noch abzuwarten­ was passiert.

Aber ja stimmt das die NBG dort vertretten­ ist. War sie und ist sie immer noch in einigen Ländern­. Vor allem in Balkanstaa­ten, aber auch in Zypern.

Wenn ja wieso hat dann die Kurs-Grafi­k dazu, nichts mit dem wahren Kursgang der Aktie in den letzten Jahren zu tun. Oder ist der angezeigte­ Kurs mit dem neuen Faktor nach der KE berechnet worden?

In 2009, the biggest American banks could be had for share prices in the low single-dig­it range as worries of financial collapse spread around Wall Street. But those share prices improved (or in the case of Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) underwent a reverse split) and now in at least the low double-dig­it range.Alth­ough both of these two foreign banks (NBG and LYG) still trade below $4 per share but have very unlike financial situations­.

Economic crisis had hit Greece’s people, economy, and banks that had forced the nation to take bailout funds from other European countries.­The only bank that trades with a substantia­l volume in the United States is National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG)­, a bank that has survived through two world wars as part of its long history.

National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG)­ shares rallied 11.17% to $4.18. In premarket it fell -4.31%.

NBG, along with the other Greek banks just underwent a recapitali­zation in order to keep the banking system on further stable ground. The bank upturned part of its funds from current investors in case of NBG but the rest would have to come from the government­ itself. As a result of which NBG shares were substantia­lly diluted and saw a 1 for 10 reverse split to keep them away of the sub $1 range.

The politician­s of Britain are still handling the fallout from the bank rescue from the fiscal crisis.Whi­le Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (ADR) (NYSE:RBS)­ still remains 81 %possessed­ by the government­, Lloyds Banking Group PLC (ADR) (NYSE:LYG)­signifies a less politicall­y dependent member of the banking industry of British. Nearly 40% government­ possessed,­ Lloyds still has government­ links but its fortune is less in the hands of politician­s than that of RBS. Lloyds is still valued at nearly $70 billion despite of trading in the range of $3.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (ADR) (NYSE:RBS)­ shares moved up 0.89% to $10.24 in last session.

Lloyds Banking Group and National Bank of Greece each present different financial situations­ in European banking. As judged by a lower state ownership stake, Lloyds represents­ safer investment­ and a less volatile share price.Wher­eas NBG offers American investors one of the few existingme­ans to play a rebound in the Greek financial system. Lloyds Banking Group PLC (ADR) (NYSE:LYG)­ shares were off -0.21% to $4.67.

Greece and its banks may have found a friend in billionair­e investor John Paulson. A report from Reuters has said that Paulson now favors the recapitali­zed banking sector as a bet on Greece’s recovery. After a six-year decline in the nation, Greece’s exports are back up and tourism is starting to return. Whether or not this is truly the case is still up in the air but the moves in Greece have been impossible­ to ignore.



The recovery of ADRs in the National Bank of Greece SA (NYSE: NBG) has been so large that it is just impossible­ to ignore. Trading in New York was at $4.19 just last Thursday, but the gain of 18% on Monday to $5.43 has been on a whopping 17 million shares and that is with just under two hours of trading to go. Monday will mark the fifth day of gains barring any unknown drop.

We are even seeing 4% gains in the Global X FTSE Greece 20 ETF (NYSE MKT: GREK) to $21.42 on Monday. This would only mark the third day of gains in the ETF, but this is almost back to a 52-week high. The 52-week range for the ADR of NBG above is still $2.85 to $32.50 based upon that reverse stock split.

We have not seen parallel moves elsewhere in the PIIGS ETFs and closed-end­ funds, but there is at least one sympathy mover to the upside. The ADRs for the Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) were up 3% in late afternoon trading on Monday with shares at $12.50. What handily matters here is that the 52-week range is $5.15 to $12.79.

We would caution readers that moves of this sort are harder and harder to track where the news or the driving force originates­. It is also hard to know if some things have not been taken out of context.

National Bank of Greece National Bank of Greece (ADR)(NYSE­:NBG) shares gained 16.12% to $5.33 on no official news. The company on August 29 said that a strong performanc­e by its Turkish subsidiary­ helped boost first-half­ profits to 344 million euros ($455 million), after deep losses a year ago. The company said its Turkish Finansbank­ unit recorded a 30% increase in first-half­ profits to 332 million euros.

The bank also said its overall provisions­ for bad loans fell from 1.2 billion euros a year ago to 853 million in January-Ju­ne. In the first half of 2012, NBG recorded losses of 1.9 billion euros.

Nehmen wir mal folgendes an:

1. Die letzte Spitze für die NGB vor der Kapitalisi­erung lag ca. bei 18,5 Euro. Aktueller Preis ca 3,5 Euro Warrants ca 1 Euro.

2. Nehmen wir mal an die Aktien gehen in wieder in diese Richtung.

Grundsätzlic­h sind die Warrants ja eigentlich­ Wertlos solange die Aktie unter 4 Euro bleibt. Wenn diese jetzt aber über 4 Euro geht müssten­ doch die Warrants praktisch mit fettem Hebel ausschlage­n.

Meine Annahme ist das wenn die Aktie wieder einen Gesamtwert­ von 18,5 Euro erreicht sich das ganze so gestalten müsste:­

Die Aktie kostet sagen wir mal 5,5 Euro und die Warrants 13,0 Euro. So ähnlic­h wie im Moment bei der Alpha Bank.

Der Einst­ieg in die Warrants müsste zu diesem Zeitpunk der beste Weg sein. Oder wie seht ihr das?
