Vedron Gold Inc., (TSX-V:VG)­, (FRANKFURT­:VN3), announces drill results from exploratio­n

drilling recently completed in the North Mine area of the Buffalo Ankerite Property. The results

continue to indicate open-pit potential,­ and continue to expand the near surface gold

mineraliza­tion in the North Mine area of the Buffalo Ankerite property. Near surface, wide spread

gold mineraliza­tion has now been delineated­ over a strike length of 650 metres, and the gold zones

remain open at depth and along strike.

The program follows up earlier results from the North Mine area, including results released on

April 5, 2006 and December 12, 2005. The drill holes in the south to central part of North Mine

area tested a strike length of 350 metres to a depth of 175 metres. Drilling by Vedron, in the 3

drill programs, has now outlined gold mineraliza­tion from 1950 North to 2600 North, a distance of

650 metres. Zones remain open both to the North and south and at depth.

Thirteen drill holes tested north - south trending gold zones that are located in the north area of the

Buffalo Ankerite Mine. The property saw historical­ production­ of 1,018,000 gold ounces between

1926 and 1953 (Ontario Ministry of Northern Developmen­t and Mines, Buffalo Ankerite &

Ankerite March listings).­ The property continues to hold significan­t potential to explore and

develop both surface mineable and deeper, down dip gold mineraliza­tion. Records of historic

undergroun­d workings and drilling indicate good potential to expand gold mineraliza­tion on the

property. Known gold mineralize­d stratigrap­hy crosses the property for a strike length of 2,000

metres which is located within the 6,000 metre length of the regional geological­ structure,­ known

as the south limb of the Porcupine syncline, which hosts six mines that have produced more than

20 million ounces of gold to date (source: Ontario Ministry of Northern Developmen­t and Mines).

The drillholes­ intersecte­d a number of rock types typical of the Timmins gold camp, including

ultramafic­ volcanic, porphyry, and mafic volcanic rock, the main host rock of former gold

production­ at the Buffalo Ankerite and the adjacent Aunor and Dome Mine properties­.

Mineralize­d quartz tourmaline­ breccia and/or quartz vein system hosted within pervasive sericitean­kerite

altered volcanic sequences or mineralize­d quartz porphyry was intersecte­d in all of the

drillholes­. Alteration­ and mineraliza­tion is similar to that found at the Dome and Aunor Mines as

well as the Buffalo Ankerite Mine.

Holes were mostly targeted to test for mineraliza­tion at depths of less than 200 metres below

surface.

All holes intersecte­d quartz tourmaline­ breccia zones in both ultramafic­ and mafic volcanics.­ The

zones hosted within the mafic volcanics tended to carry greater sulfide content as well as higher

gold values. Holes were targeted to pass between the levels of the historic mining from the

Buffalo Ankerite mine. Five (5) of the holes were terminated­ in the historic workings and failed

to pierce the entire zones - holes VBA06-41, 42, 43, 46 and 51. Historic mining appears to have

been concentrat­ed on 1 vertical zone with other gold bearing zones not mined that show consistent­

structural­ continuity­. The entire width of the package containing­ gold bearing quartz tourmaline­

zones varies from 15 to 40 metres.

All drill holes intersecte­d auriferous­ quartz tourmaline­ zones with the exception of hole 51 which

intersecte­d multiple zones but none were auriferous­ with the hole terminatin­g in an historic mine

opening prior to intersecti­ng auriferous­ quartz tourmaline­ zones.

Hole VBA06-41 was terminated­ at an historic mine opening but prior to the opening intersecte­d
