Anyway FYI for all newbies to China Sun...LAI SENG KWOON (independent director) wife bought at 72 cents a long long time ago...don't think he wanna kenna pull ear by wife so for sure this stock will take up 200 day MA resistance of 68 cents and soar to 1 dollar plus in a matter of weeks.

All I can say is that this counter is gonna fly...
Noch ein Beitrag aus Channel NewsAsia:
Looking at how little posts there are on a top volume gainer in this forum (which I think is made up mainly of retail players) shows that most retail players are not vested in this counter.
Quite understandable since most retail players sell when things go down and buy at the peak. This just reinforces my belief that China Sun is mainly held by institutional players now. The recent bottom of aroun 53 cents and the pattern of accumulation there also supports this theory.
All I can say is that this counter is gonna fly...but as I know most retail players will just stare blankly at it for a few more days before they are convinced that this counter really is rising. By then they will be suckers to buy during 1st wave of profit taking...
As for me and EYE we have been firm believers in this counter...although I think Merrill Lynch whole day long issue buy call and TP $1 they are still lousy analysts
Do something to make a difference in your investment pattern if you have been losing in this super bull cycle.
Vested heavily since IPO days and not sold any

Erste Analyse zur Übernahme - Target Price 0,99 SD
Quelle: ChannelNewsAsia
´
A new acquisition
China Sun has signed an agreement to acquire a corn starch facility in Liaoning.
We view this development positively and increase our FY08E/09E core earnings
to RMB440mn (+8%) and RMB510mn (+23%) respectively. We reiterate our Buy
recommendation with a raised price objective from S$0.88 to S$0.99.
Corn starch capacity to increase 70%
China Sun is spending RMB300mn on the new purchase, which includes a former
state-owned corn starch facility (50,000tpa) that will be upgraded to 300,000tpa.
The new plant has its own railway track and power plant, which will help lower
operating costs. We expect the plant to start operation in early 2008 and reach
full utilization in 12 months. Part of the new capacity (est. 100,000tpa) will be
used for China Sun’s new corn sweetener plant and improve product margins.
More plans in the pipeline
Management indicated that the acquisition meets its internal hurdle ROI of 25%
and will be funded internally with its RMB1.2bn existing cash. We also believe it
is considering additional downstream projects, e.g. corn sweeteners, that should
further enhance earnings growth.
Improving corn price environment
US corn prices dipped 20% over the last month amid reports on potential increase
in corn supply. PRC corn prices also declined, but only slightly by 2-3%, over the
same period. China Sun’s share price has rebounded by 20% over the last week
but still trades attractively at 7x FY08E core earnings. There could be further
earnings upgrade if the company announces new downstream projects and/or
achieves lower than expected corn costs.

Q1-Zahlen auf den ersten Blick hervorragend!
Highlights:-
Sales jumped 36.0% to all-time quarterly high of RMB380m
Robust demands for corn starch and by-products boosted higher sales volume
and average selling prices, supported by expanded production capacity.
Gross profit rose 23.5% to RMB121.6m
Group GP margin remains sound at 32% (1Q2006: 35%) despite higher raw material prices backed by greater economies of scale and higher selling prices.
Total profit soared 228.2% to historical quarterly high of RMB108.4m Had the non-cash impact of the Interpretation of FRS 32 on the accounting treatment of convertible bonds been excluded, the Group would record a 23% increase in total profit to RMB82.1m in 1Q2007 (1Q2006 : RMB67.0m).
Strong balance sheet to finance further expansion
Strong operating cash flow of RMB143.5m. Excellent cash balance of RMB1.2 billion. Healthy working capital of RMB1.4 billion and current ratio of 5.6 times. Low gearing of 0.5 times.
Rising demand and new capacities will drive further growth
New ethanol plant started commercial production in May 2007 with positive market outlook for fuel or non-fuel ethanol products.
New 120,000-tonne corn sweetener plant in Suzhou to be completed in 2007.
Recently announced acquisition of a 300,000-tonne corn starch production plant in Tieling is scheduled to complete in early 2008.
