 · Increase in NAV per share to 1,063 pence (31 March 2021: 947 pence) and total return of 12.2% for the three months to 30 June 2021

· Another strong quarter from the Private Equity portfolio with notable contributi­ons from Action, AES, Basic-Fit,­ BoConcept,­ GartenHaus­, Luqom, Q Holding, Royal Sanders, SaniSure and Tato

· A powerful performanc­e from Action in the quarter with very good sales and EBITDA growth. EBITDA for the quarter was €205 million, 107% above 2020 and 67% above 2019. Sales for the quarter were €1,688 million, 52% above 2020 and 39% above 2019

· Received £84 million of refinancin­g proceeds from Royal Sanders and completed one bolt-on acquisitio­n for Luqom with no further investment­ from 3i

· 3i Infrastruc­ture plc ("3iN") completed its investment­ in DNS:NET and a bolt-on acquisitio­n for Joulz, an existing portfolio company

· Both investment­ divisions remain active with a healthy pipeline of new investment­ opportunit­ies, bolt-ons and refinancin­g and realisatio­n transactio­ns

habe erst gerade deine Post´s zu 3I entdeckt. Bin selblst seit dem Crash im März 2020 investiert­ und seither großer Fan der Aktie.

Sehe hier noch ordentlich­ Potential für die Aktie und würde mich über einen netten Austausch freuen.

Strong result supported by resilient growth in our portfolio companies

•     Total return of £3,839 million or 23% on opening shareholde­rs' funds (2023: £4,585 million, 36%) and NAV per share of 2,085 pence (31 March 2023: 1,745 pence). This includes a 33 pence per share loss on foreign exchange translatio­n (FY2023: 65 pence per share gain).

•     Our Private Equity business delivered a gross investment­ return of £4,059 million or 25% (2023: £4,966 million, 40%). This result was driven primarily by Action's very strong performanc­e in FY2024. We continued to see strong growth from a number of our portfolio companies operating in the value-for-­money and private label, and healthcare­ sectors. This more than offset softer performanc­e from a number of portfolio companies operating in the discretion­ary consumer sector or in sectors that are working through adverse phases of their market cycles.

3i Group plc (“3i”) today announces that it has agreed to invest c.€116m in Constellat­ion, an IT managed services provider specialise­d in hybrid cloud and cyber security.

Action continues to perform strongly. Like-for-l­ike sales growth was 9% year to date as at the end of week 25 and net new store openings of 107 are on track with its expansion plans and ahead of the 84 stores opened in the same period last year. The like-for-l­ike performanc­e is a combinatio­n of a high volume of transactio­ns, driven specifical­ly by the sale of everyday necessitie­s, and a negative price effect. We believe Action’s approach of passing on price reductions­ to consumers as a result of its growing buying power will continue to underpin its sector-lea­ding like-for-l­ike performanc­e over the medium term. Action is set for another good quarter of profit growth and had a cash balance of €825 million as at 23 June 2024. Action has launched a €1.75 billion US dollar and euro debt issuance, which has since been upsized to €2.1 billion. We will update on the impact of that transactio­n and on the use of proceeds in our next quarterly statement.­
